@Phil - Premise, etc.

Premise:
A day in the life of a deep-sea fisherman.

Logline:
A deep-sea fisherman named Peter gets up to an alarm sounding the morning and starts going about his day as normal in an underwater dome, near the end there is a thud and a tube arrives through the pneumatic tube system.
Peter rushes to the tube and pulls a letter out saying “I’m sorry, there’s no way of rescuing you.” Peter puts it to the side and uses a marker to put another dash on the wall, the camera zooms out to show several destroyed domes, with only Peter’s left standing in the bottom of the deep ocean. A pipe connects far into the distance to the surface.

Step outline:

Peter wakes up in his hammock, the camera follows his head then follows at that level as he splashes some water on his face, eats from a can of beans, brushes his teeth, gets dressed in his fisherman overalls with his name on a badge.
He walks over to a rack of fishing poles, picks one, walks to a hole in the ground and starts fishing, the camera zooms out a bit to show a little more of his surroundings, which is a mix of scientific computers and plain old fisherman gear.
He fishes for a small while, time skips with lights getting a bit dimmer then bright fluorescent bulbs burst on, one of them breaking, Peter sighs at this and then there is a thud, the camera swivels to a pneumatic tube system, and Peter rushes over, opening it and allowing a small amount of water to escape, pulls a tube from it and rips a letter out.
He pours over the letter, covering the camera for a moment, then sags.
The letter reads “Mr. Reeds, we apologize, but there is no way of rescuing you at this moment. Sincerely, ULabs.”
Peter drops the letter, picks up a marker and puts a mark on the wall to the side of the tube system and stays in a defeated, slumped position, the camera pans to reveal that he’s been marking the wall for a while, then zooms out to show a whole network of underwater domes cracked and broken, with the center dome being the only one left standing.
